Privacy and cookie policy for browser-local readiness tools

What this policy covers

This policy covers the TaskReadyTools website, browser-local utility pages, generated tool outputs, support email communication, and basic website delivery through standard hosting and CDN infrastructure.

It does not cover third-party websites, marketplaces, browsers, extensions, or platforms linked from TaskReadyTools.

Browser-local processing by default

Many TaskReadyTools pages are designed to run directly in the browser. For those local-only tools, selected files, pasted text, previews, calculations, and generated reports are handled inside the current browser session instead of being intentionally uploaded to a TaskReadyTools server.

Because browser behavior depends on your device, operating system, and browser, you should still avoid using sensitive data unless it is necessary for the task.

Files, pasted data, and generated reports

• Files selected in local-only tools are used by the tool page in the browser.
• Pasted CSV, JSON, text, URLs, or structured data are processed for the visible task.
• Reports and downloads are generated so you can review results before using them elsewhere.
• You are responsible for keeping original files and checking generated outputs before import, upload, print, or handoff.
• If a future tool needs upload-based processing, that page should say so before use.

Browser storage, cookies, and temporary state

Some tools may use temporary browser memory while a job runs. Some browser features, such as downloads, workers, or local page state, may depend on your browser. TaskReadyTools should not be treated as long-term storage. Keep your own copies of source files and generated outputs.

Browser storage may keep low-risk local preferences or recent tool identifiers for convenience. The Home Inventory tool is an explicit exception: after you begin editing, it automatically stores a versioned recovery copy on that device. That copy can include the inventory title, household label, room and item details, serial numbers, purchase and cost notes, receipt or document locations, photo or file locations, and other notes entered in the tool.

The Home Inventory recovery copy is not uploaded by the tool, but it is not encrypted or isolated from other software or people using the same browser profile. On a return visit, the saved details remain hidden until someone chooses to resume the inventory. You can remove the current and previous recovery copies with the tool's “Remove saved copy” control, or by clearing site data in the browser. Private browsing, browser cleanup, storage limits, or browser settings may remove or prevent recovery. Download XLSX or CSV for a separate protected backup.

Sensitive calculator inputs, user-entered amounts, and calculation results should not be stored as long-term browser data by default unless a tool clearly discloses a recovery feature before use.

Cookies and similar browser technologies may also be used for essential website operation, consent choices, aggregated measurement, advertising, fraud prevention, and frequency control. The cookies available on a visit depend on your location, consent choices, browser settings, and whether advertising has been enabled.

Large files

Large CSV and file-processing tools depend on browser memory, streaming support, and worker support. The tested large-file lane is intended for modern desktop browsers. Mobile browsers and older browsers may not provide the APIs or memory needed for large local jobs.

Support email

Emails sent to support@taskreadytools.com are outside the browser-local tool flow. They may be received, stored, and handled by the email provider used for TaskReadyTools support.

For privacy-safe support, describe the problem instead of sending sensitive source files. Do not include private customer data, merchant exports, access tokens, passwords, cookies, API keys, or confidential files unless a secure support process is explicitly provided.

Website hosting, logs, and CDN delivery

Like most websites, TaskReadyTools is delivered through standard web hosting and CDN infrastructure. When you visit pages, technical request information may be processed by hosting, DNS, CDN, browser, and network systems to deliver the site and protect availability.

TaskReadyTools does not use account login in the current release, and core tools do not require users to upload files to use local-only features.

Analytics and measurement

Where analytics are enabled, TaskReadyTools uses Google Tag Manager and related Google measurement services to understand which pages and tools are useful. These services may process technical information such as browser and device details, approximate location, IP address, page URL, referring page, consent state, and high-level usage events.

TaskReadyTools analytics events are designed to measure page views and actions such as starting an input or attempting to run, copy, download, or print a result.

TaskReadyTools does not use analytics to collect pasted content, uploaded file contents, names, email addresses, lists, generated result text, or filenames. Tool inputs should continue to be processed in the browser for local-only tools unless a specific tool clearly explains that upload-based processing is required.

TaskReadyTools does not use analytics to collect user-entered amounts, tax rates, filing details, wages, income, rent, budget numbers, raw inputs, calculation results, or result text.

Sensitive local-only tools, including Home Inventory and calculators that ask for tax, wages, rent, debt, loan, savings, or household budget numbers, use a reduced analytics mode. It records page views and high-level actions such as start, run, copy, download, or print. Google Analytics may use a browser identifier or first-party cookie for measurement, but our tracking code does not read or send form values, amounts, file details, saved inventory, notes, or generated results.

For visitors in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland, analytics storage starts denied before any Google measurement command. Google tags may send limited cookieless measurement signals unless a consent service later updates the visitor's choice. Advertising storage, advertising user data, advertising personalization, and Google signals remain disabled by default in the site tag.

Advertising and Google AdSense

TaskReadyTools has applied to participate in Google AdSense and may display advertising after publisher approval. When advertising is enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, and other identifiers to serve, limit, personalize, measure, and report on ads, and to detect fraud or abuse.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve personalized ads based on visits to TaskReadyTools or other websites. Depending on your consent choices and location, you may instead receive non-personalized or contextual ads. Those ads may still use limited cookies or similar technologies for functions such as frequency capping, aggregated reporting, security, and fraud prevention.

TaskReadyTools does not intentionally provide file contents, pasted text, calculator inputs, generated reports, or support-email contents to advertising systems. Advertising is separate from tool results and does not mean TaskReadyTools endorses an advertiser.

Google's data use and advertising partners

Google explains how it uses data from sites and apps that use its services in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. Additional information about Google's business-data privacy practices is available from the Google Business Data Responsibility site.

Other advertising vendors may be listed in the consent message shown to users in regions where consent is required. Their participation and purposes may change over time as Google updates the available advertising partners.

Consent choices and advertising controls

For visitors in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland, TaskReadyTools is configured to use a Google-certified consent management platform when consent is required and advertising is enabled. The message provides choices to consent, not consent, or manage options before consent-dependent advertising technologies are used.

Where the consent message is available, you can use its privacy options to review or change your choices. You can also control or opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings. Browser settings and extensions may let you delete or block cookies, but blocking essential storage may affect consent memory or site behavior.

Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal. Some limited processing may continue where permitted for security, fraud prevention, delivery, or other non-consent purposes.

Regional privacy requests

Depending on where you live, privacy law may give you rights concerning access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or withdrawal of consent. To make a request about information controlled by TaskReadyTools, email support@taskreadytools.com with the subject “Privacy request.” Do not send identity documents or sensitive records unless a secure verification method is specifically requested.

Third-party links and platform names

TaskReadyTools may reference Shopify, Amazon, Google, browsers, file formats, and other third-party names to explain workflows or compatibility. Those references do not mean TaskReadyTools is endorsed by, certified by, or officially connected with those platforms.

Children and sensitive data

TaskReadyTools is intended for general utility use, not for collecting personal information from children. Users should avoid processing sensitive personal information unless they understand the risk and need to do so for their own task.

Policy updates

This policy may be updated as tools, hosting, analytics, advertising, consent systems, support processes, or business features change. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date shown near the top of this page.
